6-year-old injured in Fort Lauderdale shooting

Authorities in Fort Lauderdale are currently investigating a shooting that sent a 6-year-old, a 16-year-old, and an adult to the hospital.

The incident occurred Sunday night along NW 22nd Road, just outside of Tony’s Market.

Officials say a large crowd of people were standing on the sidewalk and in the road way when several people began firing semi-automatic rifles and handguns.

Authorities say at least 50-rounds had been fired when they received the call about the injured persons.

The child, the teen, and the adult have since been treated for their injuries and are expected to survive.
