(TEQUESTA, FLA) — The 5th Annual Freedom 4 Miler took place Monday morning, WPTV reports.

Hosted by the Believe with Me non-profit organization, the race is held every 4th of July, honoring the brave men and women who lost their lives while serving in the nation’s armed forces.

The race is four miles long and each mile is named after a fallen service member.

Proceeds from the event go to the Believe With Me who use the money to help Gold Star families.

The race is held in Constitution Park at 7 a.m. with family events continuing the rest of the day.
