(PALM BEACH COUNTY, Florida)– 5-year-old Dahud Jolicoeur of South Florida, who was reported missing, was found dead in a waterway Saturday night, authorities said.

Dahud was found around a block from his home in West Palm Beach, according to Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Teri Barbera.

Barbera said the boy was autistic and non-verbal, nor could he swim.

Deputies found Dahud’s body after hours of searching waterways that were close to his home.

“We are so incredibly saddened to announce that we found Dahud,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. “Please keep the Jolicoeur family in your thoughts and prayers.”
