A high-speed-rollover crash ends the lives of five suddenly on a surface street in Boca Raton over the Memorial Day weekend. An 18-year-old driver driver from Broward and his passengers two 13-year-olds from Boca Raton, were among five people who died in the car crash early Sunday morning in Boca Raton.

Five others victims, all kids ages 12-14 from the Boca-Delray area, were seriously injured.

PBSO says the 18 year-old driver of a 2013 Hyundai Genesis was speeding eastbound on Camino Real near Sanibel Drive when he lost control, hopped the median, slammed into a concrete light pole and began rolling, according to deputies. The car then entered the westbound lanes of Camino Real and landed upside down on top a 2014 Mercedes C250 that was being driven by an unsuspecting driver heading west on Camino Real.

All six passengers in the back seat of the Hyundai were ejected on impact. The driver of the Hyundai, 18-year-old Ramiro Gomez of Deerfield and two 13-year-olds, Brielle Snowden and Sebastian Rivas, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The 58-year-old driver of the Mercedes and his 55-year-old passenger were taken to Delray Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead. Their names have not yet been released by the Sheriff’s Office.
