WEST PALM BEACH- Palm Beach County once again leads Florida in gas prices with the countywide average standing at $4.90 per gallon.
A Shell station in Palm Beach Gardens has already broken through that threshold with prices as high as $5.19 per gallon according to our partners at WPTV.
AAA’s Mark Jenkins says to not expect any relief anytime soon.
“At this rate, it sure seems like there’s very little resistance to rising prices at the pump, and $5 a gallon is quickly becoming a very real possibility this summer,” he said.
Pensacola has the lowest gas prices in the state at $4.59 a gallon.
Nationally, California leads with the price of a gallon of regular gas sitting at $6.34 per gallon.
