A young boy ordered $2,600 worth of Spongebob Squarepants popsicles online.
The 4-year-old’s mother Jennifer Bryant says 51 cases containing 918 popsicles showed up at her front door step.
Katie Schloss, launched a GoFundMe page to help out her friend, Jennifer Bryant, after she said, Bryant’s son Noah ordered $2,618.85 worth of popsicles on Amazon.
Schloss said that while the incident is adorable, the $2,600 price tag was a bit much for Bryant, who is a mother of three and is currently in graduate school studying social work.
“Amazon will not take back the popsicles, and Ms. Bryant, mom to 3 boys, doesn’t know how she’s going to be able to pay this off, in addition to student loans and all of her family’s other expenses,” Schloss wrote.
After launching the GoFundMe, donations poured in, and the funds were raised in just 24 hours.
Bryant offered her thanks to supporters.
“We’re so grateful to have made back the $2,618.85 in a mere 24 hours,” Bryant wrote. “As a parent to a child living with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), all additional donations will go towards Noah’s education and additional supports.
The page has, as of 11 a.m. Friday, raised over $11,600. For more information, click here.
