A man and a woman were sitting in their car with Kaleb in an alleyway near Douglass Ave and and 4th street when an individual approached the car and opened fire.
Kaleb and the female occupant were both hit by gunfire though the male occupant was uninjured and her wounds were non-life threatening.
Kaleb’s wounds were far more serious and he arrived at the hospital in critical condition before succumbing to his injuries on Friday.
West Palm Beach police say the shooting does not appear to be random and are asking anyone with information on the shooter to call Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 1-800-458-TIPS.
Earlier reports had Kaleb’s age as 4 months but his true age was later confirmed by a family member.
