Officials in Utah are currently investigating after the death of a 39-year-old woman after she passed away several days after receiving the COVID vaccination shots.
According to Kassidi Kurill family, the single mother was considered healthy and “had more energy” than most around her the family told 2News.
The family says Kurill decided to get the shot because she was a surgical tech and worked between several locations.
The first shot Kurill received was said to have left her with a little soreness at injection site but it was the second one that proved fatal.
According to family in friends, after Kurill received the second dose of the vaccine, she began to experience flu-like symptoms and was bedridden for two days.
She “got sick right away, soreness at the shot location then started getting sick then started complaining that she was drinking lots of fluids but couldn’t pee and then felt a little better the next day.” Her father said.
Friends and co-workers say they didn’t think anything of it because many of them who also received the shot had flu-like symptoms as well.
It wasn’t until the fourth day that family says they knew something was wrong.
“She came in early and said her heart was racing and she felt like she needed to get to the emergency room.”
As soon as Kurill walked through the emergency room doors the family says she began throwing up.
After conducting blood test, doctors informed the family that Kurill “was very-very sick, and her liver was not functioning.”
Kurill’s father and her sister offered to donate a piece of their liver each, however, the situation progressed too quickly and soon Kurill’s heart and kidneys failed as well.
She later passed away despite doctor’s best efforts.
Authorities are now investigating whether Kurill’s death was a direct result of her receiving the vaccination.
