
Manhattan, NY– 32 people were sent to hospitals after a double-decker bus collided with a NYC bus in Manhattan Thursday evening.
The incident occurred near East 23rd Street and 1st Avenue.
Authorities say they began receiving calls about the incident just after 7:00 p.m.
At least 67 people were evaluated by first responders and 32 were hospitalized.
New York EMS Division 1 Deputy Chief Paul Hopper told reporters that while over two dozen people were injured “none have any life-threatening injury.”
According to the report, some of the victims suffered suspected fractures, head and neck injuries, while others only suffered scrapes, bruises, and cuts.
The driver of the double-decker bus was reported as one of the injured, though the extent of their injuries was not publicized.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash.
