A Florida woman is now in jail after she her 3-year-old was found wrapped in a blanket on a sidewalk while she was at a nightclub.
The incident was reported by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office on May 1st.
Authorities say a security guard patrolling the Choctaw Village Apartments in Fort Walton Beach contacted them after finding the child sleeping on a sidewalk.
While authorities gathered details about the case, they discovered two other children who had also been left alone in an apartment.
The 25-year-old woman eventually returned home and “admitted she had gone out to a nightclub about 90 minutes earlier, leaving the children unattended.”
The woman was arrested and charged with three counts of child neglect without great bodily harm.
