EDGEWATER, FL–  Police are reporting that three people were killed at a Narcotics Anonymous meeting following a shooting and a hostage situation.

The incident occurred Monday night at Be The Bridge, a nonprofit that helps homeless people and those who are struggling with addiction start over.

Edgewater police say they responded to 515 N. Ridgewood Avenue after reports that an armed male shot another male and took a woman hostage.

Other people who attended the meeting were able to escape unharmed, however, the man who was shot and the woman were still trapped inside.

Authorities attempted to negotiate with the suspect but were unsuccessful.

The SWAT team eventually breached the building and found three people, including the suspect, dead.

Officials are calling the situation a domestic dispute and say there is no danger to the public.

No other details are available at this time.

The situation is still under investigation.
