An employee who worked at the Wendy’s says they were scheduled to be at work at the time of the shooting but she left a little early:
“Thank God I wasn’t there when it happened, but I was scheduled to leave work now, 2 o’ clock in the morning,” she said. “I just left work early, right before it happened. I just decided to come back over here to get something, Taco Bell across the street, and then I seen all the tape and helicopters.”
The Wendy’s has been closed to since the shooting.
Authorities are still investigating and are asking for any who believes they have information regarding the shooting to contact Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
