Two school resource officers are recovering after being injured during a fight at an area high school.
The incident was said to have taken place at Dillard High School during dismissal on Monday.
Not much is known about the incident at this time, however, a witness told reporters that they saw at least one of the officers with blood coming from their heads:
“Another officer was able to locate one of the suspects and that suspect began to fight with her as she was attempting to take them into custody,” said Detective Ali Adamson, a spokeswoman for Fort Lauderdale Police Department.
The two officers were taken to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Back up was called to the scene.
At least five people were taken into custody.
