(WEST PALM BEACH, FL)– Police investigators released a photo of one of the suspects in an attack outside of a Publix store last week where a machete and a baseball bat were used on a 49 year old victim.

The attack occurred just before 4:00 PM last Wednesday at the Southdale Shopping Center at 802 Southern Blvd. in West Palm Beach.

The victim was stabbed and beaten by the attackers and was later transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center where he remains in critical condition.

According to West Palm Beach Police PIO Mark Jachles one of the assailants fled the scene on foot while the other attempted to leave in a blue Jeep but ended up ditching the vehicle in the parking lot before fleeing.

There is no clear motive for the attack.
