Palm Beach County Fire Rescue

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL- A teen is lucky to be alive after an out of control car crashed into his bedroom on Thursday evening.

Palm Beach deputies say a BMW travelling through the Country Landing development southwest of Boca Raton crashed into the house at around 5:35 PM, injuring 19 year old Isaiah Riley and sending flying across his bedroom.

He was laying in his bed and playing on his phone when the crash occurred.

Both Riley and driver were taken to an area hospital by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

Riley was treated for minor injuries but the condition of the driver has not been released.

“I’m just happy to be alive and that everyone is good that lives in this house,” Riley said to our partners at WPTV.

A Riley family member, who remodels homes, estimates the house sustained at least $40,000 in damage.

PBSO is investigating the cause of the crash.
