Police in Miami are currently searching for a suspect who opened fire on Florida’s Turnpike injuring two people.
The incident took place Tuesday afternoon in the Turnpike’s southbound lanes near the Golden Glades Interchange.
Authorities say the victims were driving in a blue Honda Civic when someone driving a gray Chevrolet sedan began shooting at them before driving off.
Both the driver and the passenger were struck by bullets.
The driver of the Civic then drove to an area police station where both the passengers were rushed to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Authorities say both victims have non life-threatening injuries.
Florida Highway Patrol is now investigating the incident.
