The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the FAA are investigating a helicopter crash near Loxahatchee that claimed the lives of two people on Friday.

The victims have been identified as Delray Beach residents Richard Preiser, 71, and Thomas Stout, age 65.

The helicopter was last seen on radar at 4:30 in the afternoon and apparently went down west of Seminole Pratt Whitney Road in the rural J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management Area.

The wreckage was spotted Friday night at around 9:00 PM by a PBSO aviation unit.

The Federal Aviation Administration and NTSB will be investigating.
