Officials with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue are reporting that they have airlifted two people who were shot near a high school.

The incident occurred at North Gardens High School along Northwest 47th Avenue and 181st Street.

Authorities say they were called to the school around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday due to two people with gunshot wounds.

The two victims were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

It is unclear at this time if the shooting happened inside or outside of the school.
