Two people in Miami have been arrested after they allegedly kidnapped and tortured a man for money.
The incident allegedly began on Dec. 28th and continued until Dec. 3oth.
Police say 52-year-old Marie Jocelyne Dorsainvil called the victim and asked him for a ride to her apartment. The victim agreed but once they got to the apartment, Jocelyne convinced the victim to go inside the apartment.
The victim was then confronted by 56-year-old Occius Dorsainvil once he stepped foot into the apartment. The duo then tied up the victim and tortured him over three days.
The victim told police that the suspects kept demanding that he pay them $50,000 in cash and threatened to shoot him.
The victim told the suspects that he did not have the money but he agreed to sign his vehicle title over to them if they let him go.
Occius then ordered the victim to drink a combination of bleach and Haitian rum as they drove to the area where his vehicle was parked.
The victim told police that when he opened his eyes 20 minutes later, the suspects were nowhere insight. That’s when he ran and began screaming for help.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment while authorities tracked down the Dorsainvil’s.
They are now facing kidnapping, armed robbery, attempted murder and making a threat to extort while armed.
Authorities say they are looking for one other person who may have been involved in the incident. If you have any information about this incident, you are asked to contact Miami Police Department at 305-603-6370 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
