
Big Pine Key, FL– The Monroe County Sheriff’s office is reporting that $2.3 Million worth of cocaine was found in two separate locations in the Florida Keys over the weekend.
Authorities say they received a call from a good Samaritan who found three bundles while on the water near Long Beach Road.
The bundles contained 10 separate packages of cocaine and had a total weight of nearly 75 pounds.
Officials then discovered another 25 bundles near the shoreline in another location on Big Pine Key. Those bundles were said to have weighed approximately 70 pounds.
The findings have been turned over to the U.S Border Patrol.
