An 18-year-old is now $25,000 richer after winning the lottery with her first ever ticket purchase.

Sloan Stanley told the Kansas Lottery that four days after her 18th birthday, she decided to cross one the items off of her bucket list by finally purchasing a lottery ticket.

Stanley says that she purchased the ticket during one of her shifts at her grocery store and to her surprise, it ended up being a winner!

“I was in shock that the first ticket I ever bought ended up winning $25,000!” Stanley told the Kansas Lottery.

When asked why she chose the Cash Cow instant scratch game, Stanley said it was because she likes “cows and thought it was cute.”

IT seems like lottery officials were just as shocked by Stanley’s win. Spokeswoman for the Kansas Lottery, Jessica Herrera told CNN that it is “rare for any player to nab a top prize on the very first Lottery ticket they ever purchased.”

Stanley says she plans to use the money to fund her education at the Fort Hays State University when she graduates high school this year:

“I hope this will help me graduate without debt,” she told the lottery.
