
WEST PARK, FL– The Broward Sheriff’s Department is searching for a suspect who shot an 18-year-old man who was riding an electric scooter.
The shooting occurred in the area of Southwest 30th Street and 41st Avenue Saturday night.
Witnesses reported that the victim was riding the electric scooter around 7:00 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up next to him, and someone fired a single round.
The victim was struck and collapsed in the roadway.
He was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital where he later died.
The victim was identified Monday as Kyandre K. Johnbaptiste.
Friends and family members told reporters that they are unsure why anyone would want to kill him.
Investigators also reported that they do not have a suspect or a motive.
