GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C– A 17-year-old has been arrested for the kidnapping and murder of his four-year-old half-sister.
The child was found dead behind the family’s home on July 19th.
While authorities are still investigating the case, but believe that
William Micah Hester suffocated the child:
“Were able to locate a plastic bin in a wooded area,” said Rylan Flood, Public Information Officer for the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. “Tragically and unfortunately, we located the body of the sweet 4-year-old little girl inside.”
Hester has been taken to the Greenville County Detention Center.
Authorities are still searching for a motive behind the killing.
This is the second tragedy for the family.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office confirmed that the child was the sister of an 18-month-old who died in 2018 after being left in a hot car.
