A black bear was shot dead over the weekend after being seen walking behind homes and climbing trees.

Palm Beach County Deputies located and shot the bear, which raised many questions amongst community members.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has told reporters that they did not tell their deputies to shoot the bear.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office countered that claim, saying their priority is human life.

The two agencies are not seeing eye to eye and the community is wondering who should make the call in such a case.
