The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a female suspect caught on camera throwing four firebombs toward the St. Dak Buddhist Temple Sunday afternoon in Palm Beach County.
PBSO Bomb Squad responded to the 6900 block of Donald Ross Road, unincorporated Palm Beach Gardens in reference to a possible firebombing on Sunday.
46-year-old Mei Cheung, of Riviera Beach, is currently in custody and is facing “firebombing” charges after multiple incendiary items were found burning on the temple’s grounds.
Mei was located, interviewed, arrested and was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail Sunday afternoon.
Cheung is also accused of destroying the temple’s mailbox by allegedly setting off a fifth firebomb inside of it.
There was no structural damage reported to the temple as a result of the improvised incendiary devices being hurled over the gate onto the temple grounds.
PBSO says there are no reports of injuries.
