Officials in Greenacres have arrested a 14-year-old for the murder of a person under the age of 18.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that the shooting occurred just before 7 p.m. on the corner of Lake Worth Road and South 57th Avenue.

Authorities say an altercation occurred between the teen and the victim before the teen opened fire on the victim.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The teen has since been arrested for first-degree murder along with weapon offenses.

No other details were released about the case at this time. Authorities are continuing to investigate.
