Billionaire inventor Elon Musk tweeted on Monday that he spoke to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis about his plan to alleviate traffic in Miami by building tunnels:
Cars & trucks stuck in traffic generate megatons of toxic gases & particulate, but @boringcompany road tunnels under Miami would solve traffic & be an example to the world.
Spoke with @RonDeSantisFL about tunnels last week. If Governor & Mayor want this done, we will do it.

The Tesla founder announced that his Boring Company would be interested in building tunnels underneath Miami to eliminate traffic and pollution.
The tweet was in response to Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, who had invited him to visit city hall.
.@elonmusk couldn’t agree more…would love to have you @CityofMiami City Hall to discuss it and potential solutions for the benefit of our future… https://t.co/KCPifpSqw7

Miami’s tunnels would become an example to the world and would “solve traffic” and reduce pollution from cars stuck in congestion.
Musk also said that he had already spoken with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis last week about building the tunnels. If the Governor and Mayor want it done, “we will do it,” he said.
