The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for a 12-year-old girl who has been missing for several days.

12-year-old Genesis Sontay Cruz was said to have gone missing from on Wednesday from her home in the Lantana Cascades Mobile Home Park.

According to the report, Cruz left a handwritten note saying:

” Mom, I know you’re worried,” she wrote. ” I don’t want problems with you or the police when I return.” In the center of the note Cruz then wrote “I love you.”

The middle school student was last seen wearing a grey sweater, blue shorts and floral leggings.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have any information about Cruz’ disappearance to call 911.
