Asbury Park, NJ– A 29-year-old man has been arrested after he lured and kidnapped an 11-year-old girl last week.
The incident occurred on May 30 in Asbury Park.
Authorities say Raquan M. Folk noticed the child walking alone down a New Jersey street around 5:30 p.m. and somehow convinced the child to get into his vehicle.
Once the child was inside the vehicle, he drove her about 2 miles away to Neptune Township where he eventually stopped the vehicle and told her to get undressed.
The child then told Folk that she had to use the bathroom and convinced him to drive her to a nearby gas station.
Once at the gas station, the child flagged someone down and told them she had been kidnapped.
Folk was taken into custody without incident.
He is now facing several charges including, first-degree kidnapping, second-degree luring a child, and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child via sexual conduct.
