10 shot outside restaurant in Miami Gardens as rapper French Montana was filming video

(MIAMI GARDENS, FL) – Multiple people were injured after a shooting took place outside of a Miami Gardens strip mall, outside of The Licking restaurant where, witnesses said, rapper French Montana was shooting a music video.

Miami Gardens Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to reports of a shooting behind the restaurant, located on the 17600 block of Northwest 27th Avenue, just before 8 p.m., Thursday.

Officials say there were three different crime scenes. MGPD detective Diana Gourgue said the shooting started at another location and ended at The Licking.

According to reports 10 people were injured.Paramedics airlifted four victims to Ryder Trauma Center. Two of the victims were taken to an area hospital by ambulance, and four others found their own way to the emergency room.

Witnesses said New Orleans-based rapper Rob49 was among the injured.

Police have not specified whether someone shot into the crowd or whether there was an exchange of gunfire.
