Officials have taken 1 person into custody after a multi-county high speed chase.

The incident occurred on Monday around 12:50p.m.

Authorities say a black Jeep was spotted going around 100 mph. on the northbound lanes of U.S. 441 near Ives Dairy Road.

The driver led police into the Broward county area, where they eventually arrested the suspect near an apartment complex  near Northeast 24th Street and Sistrunk Boulevard.

It is unclear why authorities began chasing the vehicle, however, reporters are speculating that the chase may have been in connection with a bank robbery.
