(PALM BEACH COUNTY, Florida)– A man was shot and killed and a woman injured during an apparent altercation Tuesday morning, according to the Palm Beach County Sherriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a call at the 600 block of Snead Circle in the Lake Belvedere Estates community at about 6:30 a.m.

Teri Barbera, a spokesperson for the PBSO, announced that one man was found dead at the scene, a woman was rushed to the hospital, and a “likely suspect” was detained.

The investigation is ongoing, but authorities believe that all involved in the incident knew each other.

Barbera has said that more information will be released as detectives investigate the incident.

Update: Barbera has announced that four more victims have been found at the scene of the shooting and one more has passed away from their injuries at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Deputies arrested Eric Walker, 22, on charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.

A child was found at the home but was unhurt by the incident.

The altercation that resulted in the shooting was a domestic dispute between one of the shooting victims and Walker.

According to Barbera, the remaining victims are recovering in the hospital.
