Coconut Creek High School was briefly placed on lock down after a gun was reported on campus.

According to the report, a school resource officer was notified on Friday that someone brought a gun to school.

The person who was said to be armed, was taken into police custody, however, authorities did not find a weapon.

The school was placed on lockdown as investigators searched the area for the gun.

Students were directed to the community center south of the school for pick-up.

No other information has been released at this time.
