Good afternoon parents, this is Mr. D with an important message about an incident that occurred on an afternoon bus route yesterday. The Riviera Beach Police Department has notified us that they arrested a student on bus #659 for the possession of a handgun. The weapon was discovered after an anonymous call to School Police while the bus was traveling its afternoon route. To ensure the sense of safety for our students and staff, additional school police were requested and are on campus today. There is no action required of you as a result of this message. Because this incident occurred off our campus, I have not been provided with any additional details at this time. Thank you, and have a good day. This is Joe DePasquale, Dwyer High School.
