Open burning ban in effect in Palm Beach County

An open burning ban is now in effect in Palm Beach County due to dry conditions.

The mandatory burn ban prohibits all outdoor burning that has not been specifically permitted by the Florida Forest Service including: bon fires, campfires, burning yard debris, and any permitted residential and commercial land clearing operations.¬†Barbecue grills are still permitted at this time. The ban comes as the county is approaching a “critical state” of increased wild fire. The ban will remain in place until the conditions improve significantly.
