Man Arrested After an Alleged Familial Killing Spree

On Friday, Feb. 2. Hernando Enriquez, 44, allegedly attempted to kill his entire family.

Hernando Enriquez of Arizona is accused of beating his wife, and 15-year-old daughter to death then hid their bodies in a bathtub and then attempting to kill.

The teenager says his father called him and asked him to come home early from school, when he arrived, his father allegedly met him outside and lured him into the family home by asking him to help clean up “a mess.”

Once the teen and his father were in the home, his father allegedly picked up a hammer and proceeded to beat the 17-year-old while saying “Just let me do what I need to do,” and “I’m taking away your mom and sister, and I need to finish this.”

The boy fought back and was able to run into the kitchen where Hernando Enriquez then grabbed a knife and began stabbing his son.

The 17-year-old then escaped and ran to neighbors home where he told them what had happened and called the police.

The Arizona, Pima County Sheriff’s Department says they forced their way into the home and found Sandra and Isabelle Enriquez dead in a bathtub.

The father and alleged familicide murderer Hernando Enriquez was reportedly found near the home with a knife wounded and covered in blood.

Police then tased and arrested him.

The 44-year-old man faces multiple murder charges, including two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder in connection to the deaths of his wife, Sandra Enriquez,43 and his daughter Isabella Enriquez,15 and the attempted murder of his son.

According to reports, Hernando Enriquez was booked into Pima County Jail Thursday night and will make his first court appearance on Friday, Feb.9.
