Loaded Gun found in Kindergartner’s backpack in West Palm Beach

Thursday, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and school police are investigating after a kindergarten student brought a loaded gun in a backpack to Somerset Academy Lakes in West Palm Beach.

According to PBSO, the gun was discovered by a teacher before school began.

The 6-year-old reportedly tossed his backpack on the ground and the gun fell out.

The unidentified teacher then rushed all the students out of the classroom.

PBSO is currently investigating the child’s parents and may file charges against them.
