Could former Heat player turned Cleveland Cavelier be coming back to Miami? For now, he is in the Magic City for an off season break, but could he return to play for the Heat?
It’s been three years since James left the Heat and the 32-year-old documented his return to Miami over the weekend on Instagram.
While riding in a boat on Biscayne Bay, James posted a photo of AmericanAirlines Arena with the caption, “A ton of great memories riding past her today!! #AAA #striveforgreatness.”
James then posted another photo with part of the Miami skyline in the background. That photo was captioned, “For all those that had anything to do with me being where I am today, I just wanna say THANK YOU! #blessed. #striveforgreatness.”
According to the Palm Beach Post, “James is expected to become a free agent next summer, leaving some to wonder if a return to the Heat is possible.
These photos may indicate the future Hall of Famer still enjoys spending time in Miami, but it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s coming back to the Heat as he’s already been linked to joining the Lakers next offseason.
Plus, the Heat have no cap space for next summer as things stand right now. But cap room can always be created with a trade or two.”
