Florida McDonald’s manager is sorry for slapping customer

A manager at a Jacksonville McDonald’s is apologizing, after a video of her slapping a customer went viral.

Ciarrea Williams says that she attacked a customer after that woman became frustrated with the wait time for her food. Williams claims that the woman hurled racial insults toward her and her staff, and that’s when Williams tried to draw the line.

She says, “I turned around to say that’s it. I draw the line with you cursing profanity at me and my workers. I just said ma’am I’ll give you a refund, give you your food, and you still can have a nice day.” However, the woman threw hot and cold drinks at Williams, and that’s when Williams slapped the customer.

Williams says she is embarrassed by the video and wishes the situation ended differently. She remains employed by McDonald’s as the company investigates.
