U.S. Marshals believe a man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend and her father in Virginia may be hiding out somewhere in Florida.

32-year-old Amos Jacob Arroyo is wanted for the murders of Patricia Joseph and her father Jessie Barnes, who were killed on July 30th in a trailer where they all lived. According to the report, Arroyo shot and killed both Joseph and Barnes in front of two children he shared with Joseph before taking off.

“He hit the ground running,” said U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Virginia Bobby Mathieson. “The morning after the murders he was already 500 miles away. By the time we found his vehicle in Georgia, we were a day behind him. Not only did he leave his car behind, we believe he left his old identity behind as well.”

Investigators say Arroyo purchased new clothes, underwear and a backpack before abandoning his vehicle in the parking lot. He also left behind several identification cards leading investigators to believe he may be using a fake name.

Arroyo is described as a white or Hispanic male who is 5’11 and weights about 160 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.  He is known to date older men and women and was said to have reportedly used them for money. He also was said to have spent time in the army back in 2004 and has ties to Florida, Georgia, Delaware, Puerto Rico, and Texas.

Authorities are offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to Arroyo’s arrest. Arroyo is considered armed and dangerous, according to the U.S Marshals.  Anyone with information regarding Arroyo is asked to Call 1-877-WANTED-2.
