West Palm Beach is bracing itself for the coldest air on record since 2010. Temperatures will fall rapidly overnight from the 50s through the 40s and into the 30s in the Treasure coast and Palm Beaches.

Freeze warnings are in effect for Thursday morning for Indian River, St Lucie and Okeechobee counties. On top of that a wind chill advisory is in effect for all areas. This will likely repeat Friday morning as well.  During the freeze warning temperatures will fall near or below 32 degrees for 1 to 3 hours in the early morning.

County leaders will be opening cold shelters.
