Bus Hits Light Pole Closes Lanes on I-95 in Boynton

Four north bound lanes and three south bound lanes of I-95 were blocked after a Palm Tran bus crashed and hit a light pole during rush hour this morning.
The accident ended up tying up traffic in both directions.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a Palm Tran bus blew two back tires, causing the driver to lose control and crash into a pick up truck.
Both vehicles then crashed into the median wall, knocking over a light pole into the south bound lanes.

One tire and rim from the bus also ended up in the south bound lanes, and hit at least one car.

Both drivers from the bus and truck were taken to a local hospital with injuries.
Fortunately there were no passengers on the bus so no one else was injured.
