Arrest Made in Jupiter Triple Murder Case

Jupiter Police arrested a man in the triple murder case that happened the night of the Super Bowl on Mohawk Street.  Police Monday night  arrested and charged 25-year-old Christopher Vasata with killing three people at the party.  Vasata was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail charged with three counts of murder. He’s being held at the Palm Beach County jail, with a court appearance scheduled for Wednesday morning.

The man who rented the home where 3 people were killed in a shooting on Super Bowl Sunday told police he saw three or four masked people show up at his house and start shooting.

The new information is revealed in Vasata’s probably cause affidavit.

Vasata, according to the report, also told officers from his hospital room he had a spiritual moment. Police say he said, “Here I am, looking at Heaven. I just killed 3 people and I’m looking at Heaven.” Vasata, according to police, later denied making the statement.

Vasata was also shot and was later found in Paseos neighborhood during Super Bowl Sunday. The Chief of police say Vasata has been recovering in the hospital. Police say there is another gunman still on the loose involved in the triple murder investigation.  The three victims are 20 year old Kelli J. Doherty of Tequesta 24 year old Brandi El-Shalhy of Gainesville and 25 year old Sean Henry of Jupiter.

27 year old Charlie Vorpagel lived in the house where the murders took place and he was arreseted on Federal weapons and drug charges.
