Anthony Weiner Pleads Guilty and Gets Divorced

Anthony Weiner is having a bad day.

The former New York Congressman plead guilty today in Federal Court in Manhattan to sexting charges.

Just as he was admitting to his crimes, his wife, Huma Abedin, was dropping the hammer and filing for divorce.

The tearful 52-year-old politician plead guilty today to a single charge of transferring obscene material to a minor.

He had to surrender his passport and iPhone, and agreed not to leave New York before his sentencing.

He then quickly left the federal court in Manhattan after admitting he exchanged sexually explicit messages with a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina.

The divorce news hit the news just hours after the former Democratic congressman pleaded guilty to sexting with the young girl for which he faces possible prison time.

Weiner was released on bail today pending sentencing in early September.

The “New York Post” is reporting that Abedin is asking that her divorce case be sealed.

Abedin was a longtime aide to Hillary Clinton.
