1 Dead After Bus Carrying High School Band Plunges into Ravine

At least one person is dead and six others have been injured after a bus charter bus carrying a high school band home from a spring break fell into a ravine.

The crash happened Tuesday morning sometime around 5:30 a.m. when the bus entered the median near I-10 eastbound in Alabama. It was not detailed how the crash occurred, however, the report did state that the bus was carrying about 52 people including the band said to be from Channelview High School home after their trip to Disney World.

The crash happened Tuesday morning sometime around 5:30 a.m. when the bus entered the median near I-10 eastbound in Alabama. It was not detailed how the crash occurred, however, the report did state that the bus was carrying about 52 people including the band said to be from Channelview High School home after their trip to Disney World.

Baldwin County Sheriff Huey Hoss Mack confirmed in a press conference that the deceased is the bus driver. At least five people were said to have been severely injured and were either driven or airlifted to various hospitals in the area depending on their injuries.

According to KPRC in Houston, the bus company has been involved in four crash in the last two years, at least two of them fatal including this one.
